Prelude to World War 3
True Disciples of Jesus
Act 4:32 Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.
The faith of Jesus' disciples were so great that they followed His words to the latest.
1. Forsake All
Luke 14:33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.
2. Deny Self
Mat 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."
3. Sell All Give Alms
Mat 19:21 Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."
Covetousness is like Idolatry
1 Pet 4:3 For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles--when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries ( covetousness is like idolatry).
Covetous Christians love mammon and positions, so they will justify themselves by partially keeping the Law. They projected the law as superior to Jesus' words by denying the Triune Godhead. They demoted Jesus as created and therefore is not equal to YHWH the Father. The Law (obsoleted by Jesus' death) spoken by prophets is made superior to the words spoken by Jesus - this was the earliest heresy.
1. Blessings in the Old Covenant
The Spirit of God dwelled in the temple of God. Blessings are physical especially financially with subsequent heavenly rewards. Spiritual leaders are normally rich and powerful.
2. Blessings in the New Covenant
The Holy Spirit dwells in the physical body of every Christian. Worldliness defies him and grieves the Holy Spirit. Christians are only sojourners on earth. Their blessings are spiritual and heavenly. Spiritual leaders though having nothing (filth of the world) are content with His love, peace, joy, comfort and presence.
1 Cor 4:11-13 To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.
Earliest Heresy
Acts 15:5 But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.”
Faithful Christians sold everything and put them under the feet of Apostles.
The earliest heresy was found in the book of Acts where rich and covetous Pharisees insisted that Christians keep the Mosaic Law to justify their extreme wealth.
In Judaism, Jews only need to pay tithes (10% of their income) and the rest are theirs, whereby Christians own nothing for they are only God's stewards.
They had rejected His words and commandments of self-denial, which were against their covetous nature. They justified their love of money (mammon) by teaching the blessings in the Law. God considers money as an abomination for the love of money has destroyed the faith of many Christians sending them to damnation.
Luke 16:14-15 Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God."
Lost of Salvation
Gal 5:4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
Keeping part of the Law, which sends Christians to damnation, was created by wicked Christian leaders to justify their covetousness (Idolatry).
Thank God for His mercies, which endure forever. Your sincere repentance will save you from damnation.
