Preserving God's Word - Part 13 (PW98)

        Prelude to World War 3

True Disciples of Jesus
Act 4:32     Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.
The faith of Jesus' disciples were so great that they followed His words to the latest.

1. Forsake All
Luke 14:33    So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

2. Deny Self
Mat 16:24    Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."

3. Sell All Give Alms
Mat 19:21     Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."

Covetousness is like Idolatry
1 Pet 4:3    For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles--when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries ( covetousness is like idolatry).
Covetous Christians love mammon and positions, so they will justify themselves by partially keeping the Law. They projected the law as superior to Jesus' words by denying the Triune Godhead. They demoted Jesus as created and therefore is not equal to YHWH the Father. The Law (obsoleted by Jesus' death) spoken by prophets is made superior to the words spoken by Jesus - this was the earliest heresy.

1. Blessings in the Old Covenant
The Spirit of God dwelled in the temple of God. Blessings are physical especially financially with subsequent heavenly rewards. Spiritual leaders are normally rich and powerful.

2. Blessings in the New Covenant
The Holy Spirit dwells in the physical body of every Christian. Worldliness defies him and grieves the Holy Spirit. Christians are only sojourners on earth. Their blessings are spiritual and heavenly. Spiritual leaders though having nothing (filth of the world) are content with His love, peace, joy, comfort and presence.
1 Cor 4:11-13    To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.

Earliest Heresy
Acts 15:5     But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.”
Faithful Christians sold everything and put them under the feet of Apostles.
The earliest heresy was found in the book of Acts where rich and covetous Pharisees insisted that Christians keep the Mosaic Law to justify their extreme wealth.
In Judaism, Jews only need to pay tithes (10% of their income) and the rest are theirs, whereby Christians own nothing for they are only God's stewards.
They had rejected His words and commandments of self-denial, which were against their covetous nature. They justified their love of money (mammon) by teaching the blessings in the Law. God considers money as an abomination for the love of money has destroyed the faith of many Christians sending them to damnation.
Luke 16:14-15     Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God."

Lost of Salvation
Gal 5:4    You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
Keeping part of the Law, which sends Christians to damnation, was created by wicked Christian leaders to justify their covetousness (Idolatry).
Thank God for His mercies, which endure forever. Your sincere repentance will save you from damnation.

Preserving God's Word - Part 12 (PW97)

        Prelude to World War 3

Christianity in the Apostolic Age

First Born Again Christians
John 20:22     And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit."
Our risen Lord having found that His disciples had believed the gospel of grace:-
1. Jesus was the Word made flesh
2. He died for the remission of sins
3. On the 3rd day He rose from the dead
Immediately, our Lord Jesus gave them the Holy Spirit of redemption for them to become born again Christians, so that they were empowered with the gifts of the Holy Spirit in 1 Cor 12:4-12

Disciples of Jesus
Luke 18:28    Then Peter said, “See, we have left all and followed You.”
Since Jesus' disciples had given up everything to follow Him, He had to keep His promise to give them another Helper - the Spirit of truth.
John 14:15-17    “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever — the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."

Baptism of the Holy Spirit
Acts 1:4-5     And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which," He said, "you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."
Our Lord told them to wait in Jerusalem for He knew that without the baptism of the Holy Spirit (of truth), they were powerless against their own weaknesses. Only with truth will they be set free from their fear, bondages and flesh.
Note All those baptized in the Spirit of truth will bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit in Gal 3:22-26.
Acts 1:8     "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me  in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

True Disciples in the Early Church
Acts 4:32-35    Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.
And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles' feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.
With His Apostles and disciples who gave up all they had to follow Jesus, the new converts' faith were strong that they too gave up all to follow Jesus, having been set free from the bondages of this world - the lust of the eyes, the last of the flesh and the pride of life.
John 8:31-32     Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

New Testament Books
2 Tim 3:16-17     All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
After the formation of the council of apostles and elders in Jerusalem to verify the teachings of Jesus which were verbal, the Holy Spirit inspired some of His apostles and disciples to record the very words of Jesus spoken to them. The 4 Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) were mainly the teachings of Jesus before His death. The Apostles' Epistles were solely the words and teachings of our risen Lord.
From 50-120AD the apostles and disciples under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit managed to record 27 books in the New Testament, which were all written in Greek.
Note Greek was the de facto language then, everyone including our Lord Jesus spoke Greek. That's why the New Testament was written in Greek.

Preserving God's Word - Part 11 (PW96)

        Prelude to World War 3

Faith in the Apostolic Age
After the resurrection of our Lord Jesus, His disciples were persecuted by the Jewish leaders and Priesthood.
With the continuous Roman persecutions and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD, the Council of Apostles and Elders was forced to go underground, leaving the churches to be run by bishops and leaders independently.
During the Apostolic age in the First Century, the churches flourished with sound doctrine taught by Jesus's apostles and disciples.

Gospel Preached by Peter
Acts 2:31-32, 36    he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.... “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
Peter preached the gospel of grace that Jesus was the Christ, who had resurrected from death after His crucifixion.

Acts 2:37    Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”
The Jews who believed the gospel were convicted and they asked the Apostles what they must do next.

Acts 2:38    Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Then Peter told them to repent of their sins for the blood of Jesus would cleanse them, and they would receive the Holy Spirit of redemption with the spiritual gifts.
They must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Name of Jesus
Phi 2:9-10    Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
The name of Jesus is the greatest that everyone including all those in heaven must bow down to.
So Jesus is also the name of God the Father and also the triune Godhead.
John 17:6,12a    “I  manifested Your name (Jesus) to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word... While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name (Jesus).
When believers are baptized in the name of Jesus or Jesus Christ, it is similar to baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Apostles' Belief or Creed as taught by our Lord Jesus Christ

1. Salvation by Faith -
John 3:16    For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

2. Gospel of Grace
Luke 24:46-47     Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

3. Triune Godhead (Trinity)
Mat 28:19-20     Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

4. Triune Godhead Dwells within Devout Christians
John 14:23     Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

5. New Covenant Replaces Old Covenant
Mat 26:27-28     Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
The New Covenant of grace and truth has replaced the Old Covenant of the Law. Christians only need to observe the words of Jesus and the Apostles' Epistles (Acts 15:28-29).

Preserving God's Word - Part 10 (PW95)

        Prelude to World War 3

The Council of Jerusalem
After our Lord Jesus had taught His disciples for about 3 years, He told them to make disciples of all nations and to teach them to observe all His commands. Ten days after His ascension and at Peter's preaching, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost saw the salvation of 3,000 souls.
The Apostles and disciples (about 120 in total) were tasked to disciple these 3,000 new converts. Without any written record of Jesus teachings, they could only disciple the new converts from their memory.
Immediately, they form the Council of Apostles and Elders to review what Jesus had taught them.

Council of Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem
Acts 15:4, 6    And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders; and they reported all things that God had done with them... Now the apostles and elders came together to consider this matter.
The main objective of the council in Jerusalem was to standardize the Christian faith or creed, the doctrines as taught by our Lord for evangelism and discipling, to evaluate the accuracy of the recollection of the teachings and commandments of Jesus and also, the settlements of disputes and heresies in the faith.

Calling of Apostle Paul
Acts 9:15-16     But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake."
Before God gave the salvation to the Gentiles, God raised up Apostle Paul, who was a devout Jew, a Pharisee of Pharisees, highly learned and knowledgeable of the Law, zealously and blindly guarding Judaism against heresies. He showed extreme zeal in his mission to arrest Christians, whom the Jewish leadership considered as deviant or heretic.
On the road to Damascus Jesus miraculously saved him. Jesus, having taught him personally for three years, sent him to reach out not only to Jews but to Gentiles and kings and to disciple them.

Judaizers in Action
Acts 15:1-2     And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.” Therefore, when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them should go up to Jerusalem, to the apostles and elders, about this question.
Paul, having encountered Jesus personally, saved and taught by Him, knew that salvation is by grace for both Jews and Gentiles, he stood firm on the word of God. He rejected the unbiblical demands of some Christians to circumcise the new gentile converts. This issue of circumcision of gentiles was to be brought before the Council of Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem.

The New Covenant of Grace
Acts 15:24     Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, “You must be circumcised and keep the law” to whom we gave no such commandment.
The Council of apostles and elders in Jerusalem with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, forbade new converts to observe all the Jewish laws, feasts, beliefs, culture, practices, etc. which our Lord Jesus had fulfilled through His death and resurrection.
The Mosaic Law was for the Jews, being the Old Covenant with the Israelites. The New Covenant of Jesus blood (grace) is for all mankind (both Jews and Gentiles). Believers of the new covenant are Christians and they must forsake all their previous religious beliefs and practices.
Paul's epistles are doctrines taught by the Lord Himself, that compliments His words. In line with the commands of the Council of Elders, some of his writings specifically condemn keeping the Old Covenant which was made obsolete by the New Covenant of His blood.
Gal 5:4     You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

Preserving God's Word - Part 9b (PW94)

        Prelude to World War 3

Teachings and Words of Jesus
Acts 1:1-3    The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
During the 40 days our risen Lord Jesus taught His disciples things pertaining to the kingdom of God. This must be the teachings and truth of the New Covenant of His blood, which He could not share while He was still a Jew:-

1. Fulfillment of the Law and Prophets
Luke 24:44    Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.”
Jesus had fulfilled the Old Covenant at His death and resurrection. Anyone who rejects Jesus' fulfillment and tries to keep any part of the law has fallen from His grace.
Gal 5:4     You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

2. Understand Scriptures
Luke 24:45    And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.
He opened up their understanding of Scriptures and the knowledge and truth in His gospel, teachings, words, commands and parables.
The disciples understood that when the devout saints rose from the graves, Jesus' blood had cleansed their sins and when they entered into the kingdom of heaven Jesus had become their Messiah thereby ending the Old Covenant.
Note  the New Covenant is salvation by faith in Jesus (the Messiah) and no longer by the works in the Law (Old Covenant).

3. New Covenant of His Blood
Luke 24:30-31    Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.
Jesus' resurrection started the New Covenant (Period of Grace) thereby ending the Old Covenant.

4. Gospel of Grace or Christ
Luke 24:46-47     Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Jesus taught His disciples to preach the Gospel of Christ or the Gospel of grace and nothing else.

5. Triune Godhead
Mat 28:19-20    Go therefore  and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
God is One but reveals Himself to man as:
1. God the Father - so that we can learn to be loving fathers
2. God the Son - we can learn His complete submission to be obedient sons
3. God the Holy Spirit - we can love, help, teach and comfort our brethren in need.

6. Apostles' Epistles
Paul was led into the wilderness, where our Lord personally taught him the gospel of grace and the truth of His words. When Paul checked with the Apostles, he found that what the Lord had taught him, He had also taught His disciples earlier.
The Apostles' Epistles including Paul's writings are the very teachings and words of our Lord Himself.

7. A New Heart and a New Spirit -
Eze 36:26-27     I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.
Our risen Lord gave His disciples the Holy Spirit to become born again Christians and able to keep Jesus' words in the Gospels and the Apostles' Epistles.

Preserving God's Word - Part 9a (PW93)

        Prelude to World War 3

Gospel of Grace
Luke 24:46-47    Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Our risen Jesus having taught the Gospel of grace told us to preach it. New converts must believe Jesus and accept the Gospel of grace that :-
1. Jesus was the Christ, the Son of God and the Word made flesh
2. He suffered and was killed (crucified). At the cross He poured out His blood for the remission of our sins
3. He died and having overcame death, He set us free from the fear of death.
4. On the third day, He rose from the dead
5. He gave the Holy Spirit of redemption to dwell within all those who believe the Gospel thereby making them to become born again Christians.
Note our risen Lord told us to preach the gospel of grace but Jesus in the flesh preached repentance.

The Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand
Mat 4:17    From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Before Jesus' death, He preached 'the kingdom of heaven is at hand'. At His death, Jesus became the Messiah of the deceased devout Jews (Samuel, Moses, etc.), who rose from their graves to enter into the kingdom of heaven, thereby ending the Old Covenant (Judaism). Jews must now believe Jesus and the Gospel to obtain salvation.

Gospel Preached by Paul
After Paul's salvation, he went to Arabia where our Lord Jesus by revelation taught him the gospel and His words. His gospel was the same as those preached by the Apostles.
I Cor 15:3-5    For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.

Water Baptism
Mat 28:18-20   And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore  and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
During the Apostolic Age, before anyone is baptized, he must have believed and understood the gospel of grace. God is One, but reveals Himself to mankind as a Triune Godhead, so that man can learn how to be

1. a father - God the Father the Creator of heavens and earth, protects, provides, guides and chastises His children.

2. a son - God the Son was the Word made flesh, who had submitted completely to the Father. As sons we must trust and obey our fathers and most of all our heavenly Father.
Jesus died on the cross for the propitiation of our sin. On the third day He rose from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father.
Just like Jesus, we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
1 John 3:16. By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

3. a comforter - God the Holy Spirit dwells in every born again Christian. He teaches us to love and also empowers us with His anointing, gifts, truth and guidance.
We must love one another as Jesus had loved us and help our brethren as the Holy Spirit had helped and empowered us.
There was a type of Christian Creed in the Apostolic Age, which is similar to today's Apostles' Creed.

Apostles' Creed
So before anyone is baptized, every Christian must believe the gospel and accept the Apostles' Creed. New converts are taught to observe all the commands and words of Jesus from the 4 Gospels and the words taught by our risen Lord.
Every born again Christian equipped with the Apostles' Creed, Jesus words and truth and the indwelling of Holy Spirit can grow in Christ.

Preserving God's Word - Part 8 (PW92)

        Prelude to World War 3'

Jesus the Man
John 1:14    And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
As predestined before the foundation of the world, men would be adopted as sons of God, the Almighty God must come as a human being. Jesus was the Word made flesh to become a Man.
Jesus was born of virgin Mary in a stable amongst the animal as the sacrificial Lamb of God (wrapped in swaddling cloths). He was placed in the manger as folders (Bread of Life) for His sheep.
Luke 2:7    And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Circumcised as a Jew
Luke 2:21   And when eight days were completed for the circumcision of the Child, His name was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.
By faith Jesus' Jewish parents circumcised Jesus on the eighth day just as by faith we have our children baptized into the body of Christ.
Jesus had to live the rest of His life keeping the law and the Prophet in order to stay sinless, so that He would be worthy to be the perfect sacrificial Lamb of God for the remission of the sins  of men.

Jesus Preached Repentance
Mat 4:17    From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
Not only did Jesus submit to the baptism of repentance of John the Baptist, He even preached John's kingdom message. He knew that unless the Jews repent and keep the Mosaic law, they would not believe Him as their Messiah and be cast into damnation.
God had said that all those Jews who repent and believe Moses will believe Jesus after His resurrection.
John 5:46    For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.

The Sinless Man Jesus
John 8:28    Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things."
All the doctrines and teachings of Jesus are given by God Himself. Jesus did not violate the Law nor the Prophets. He was sinless and the perfect sacrificial Lamb of God which was pleasing to God.
John 7:16    Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me."

Jesus Fulfilled the Law
Mat 5:17   “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill."
Jesus at His death and resurrection fulfilled the Law and the Prophets in all the Feasts, Sabbaths and religious laws, rites, sacrifices, offerings, etc. so that all Jewish converts in Christ Jesus have also fulfilled them.
Luke 24:44   Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.”

Immediate Evidence of the Fulfillments of the Law and the Prophets by Jesus

Mat 27:52-53    and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.
Jesus at His death, immediately, became the sacrificial lambs offered by the saints of old, who had kept the Mosaic Law (Moses, Samuel - please read 1 Samuel, Daniel, etc.) and the Prophets (Abel, Enoch, Noah, etc.) so that their sins were also cleansed by Jesus' blood. Only then, they were worthy to be raised from the depths of the earth and follow our resurrected Lord back to heaven.

Note  Though Israel fell to the Romans in 63 BC, Greek remained the de facto language. All the 27 canonical books in the New Testament were written in Greek. The 4 gospels recording the words spoken by Jesus were also in Greek, so our Lord Jesus must have spoken in Greek otherwise the Bible is just a translation and not the Word of God.

Preserving God's Word - Part 7 (PW91)

        Prelude to World War 3'

The Hebrew Bible
The first five books of the Bible (Old Testament) or Torah were written in Hebrew. Torah is commonly referred to as the Law (or the Pentateuch). These 5 books are traditionally ascribed to Moses (1391–1271 BC), the recipient of the original revelation from God on Mount Sinai.
Almost the entire Old Testament was written in Hebrew. But a few chapters in Ezra and Daniel and one verse in Jeremiah were written in Aramaic.
Around the 5th Century BC, the canonisation of the original Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) was ascribed to Ezra and his priests who were full of the Spirit of God.
These are some of the books written in Hebrew which were rejected as scriptures and were later banned :-
  Book of Enoch
  The Secrets of Enoch
  The Psalms of Solomon
  The Odes of Solomon
  The Letter of Aristeas
  The Story of Ahikar

Dead Sea Scrolls are Erred Texts
When the scribes erred while copying Scriptural texts, these erred and flawed texts were rejected, burned and destroyed.
The famous Dead Sea Scrolls including the Hebrew Old Testament discovered in 1947 actually date back to the first century BC but they are not originals.
These scrolls were rejected because they have erred with flawed texts in comparison with the original Septuagint. They should have been burnt or destroyed. All bible translations taken from these rejected scrolls will have missing or erred texts.

The Original Septuagint
According to tradition, Ptolemy II Philadelphus (285–247 BC) the Greek Pharaoh of Egypt, sent seventy-two Hebrew translators —six from each of the Twelve Tribes of Israel—from Jerusalem to Alexandria to translate the Tanakh from Biblical Hebrew into Koine Greek, for inclusion in his library. It took possibly a year or two (some suggested 72 days) for the 72 scholars to translate the Tanakh into the Greek Septuagint.
The Septuagint was popular and was used in synagogues for the common Jews could not understand Hebrew anymore.
Meanwhile there were many religious books produced during the 2nd and 1st centuries BC. The common ones were the 'Apocrypha' (or the Deuterocanonical books) all written in Koine Greek.
The Apocrypha are non canonical books. They are mainly of historic nature and do not affect the teachings of the Law.

Luke 4:21    And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
Our Lord Jesus, having read Luke 4:17-20 in the Septuagint, confirmed the Septuagint was Scripture.

Independent Israel
The Maccabean Revolt, which began in 167 BC, led to the establishment of the Hasmonean dynasty and the rededication of the Jerusalem Temple in 164 BC. Judea had a period of full independence from 104 to 63 BC.
The Jews must have hated the Greek regime that they fought for their independence for centuries.

Why were the Apocrypha not written in Hebrew or Aramaic?
Don't you find it strange that all the Apocrypha books including the 2 warfare books of Maccabees were written in Greek and not in Hebrew or Aramaic. This is the sure sign that the Jews had forgotten Hebrew their mother tongue and also Aramic which they learned during their captivity.
The only language they could understand then was Greek.

Jewish Priesthood Rejected the Apocrypha
The Tanakh was written in Hebrew with a little bit of Aramaic. It was canonized in the 5th Century BC by Ezra. In the 3rd Century BC, it was translated into the Septuagint.
The Apocrypha was written in the 1st and 2nd Century BC in Greek. It cannot be added to the Hebrew Bible. The Jews had rejected the Apocrypha as Scriptures.
Though it was written in Greek, it was not canonized and cannot be added to the Septuagint. Unfortunately, many unlearned Theologians refer to the Apocrypha as part of the Septuagint.
Note  the Septuagint is the Grecian translation of the Tanakh (original Hebrew Bible) and nothing more.

The Protestant Bible consists of only the Septuagint and the New Testament books. Both the Catholic and Orthodox Bibles besides the Septuagint and the New Testament books also include some of the Apocrypha, which they know were not canonized.

Preserving God's Word - Part 6 (PW90)

        Prelude to World War 3

Why did the Priesthood reduce the prophetic book of Daniel to 'ketuvim' (saying or history)?

The book of Daniel was assigned to major Prophets in the original Hebrew Bible canonized by Ezra and his priests in the 5th-6th Century BC.
Thank God that He preserved His words by getting it translated into Greek.
During the reign of Ptolemy II Philadelphus (285–247 BC), the original Hebrew Bible was translated into the Greek Septuagint (meaning seventy) by seventy-two Hebrew translators and completed in seventy-two days.

The main prophecies of Dan 11 concerning the wars between the king of the North (Seleucid kingdom - Persia) and the king of the South (Ptolemaic kingdom - Egypt) started after the death of Alexander the Great.

Dan 11:7-8    But from a branch of her roots one shall arise in his place, who shall come with an army, enter the fortress of the king of the North, and deal with them and prevail. And he shall also carry their gods captive to Egypt, with their princes and their precious articles of silver and gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the North.
Below is an example of the fulfillment of Prophecies of Dan 11:7-8
Ptolemy III Euergetes, ruled Egypt (246-221 BC) in the place of his father. Provoked by the assassination of his sister, Ptolemy III marched against the king of the north, which ignited a war that lasted some five years (246-241 BC). Ptolemy III successfully defeated the king of the North and also led his armies deep into western Asia. From there, he brought back to Egypt the statues of the gods that had been carried off by the Persians.
In similar accurate fashion, the rest of the prophecies in Dan 11 were fulfilled.
The fulfillments of the prophecies in the Book of Daniel were so accurate that faithless theologians and historians classified the Book of Daniel as historic and Daniel was only a myth.
Dan 11:27    "Both these kings' hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time."
In 170 BC, when Antiochus IV felt secure about the state of his own kingdom, he decided to take Egypt by force in what came to be known as the Sixth Syrian War (partially fulfilling Dan 11:25).
As both the kings were fighting and deceiving each other, the next prophecy of Daniel was that the appointed time will be the end time.

Independent Israel
The Hasmonean dynasty, founded by the Maccabees, ruled Judea from 167 BC to 37 BC, with a period of full independence from 104 to 63 BC. The Maccabean Revolt, which began in 167 BC, led to the establishment of the Hasmonean dynasty and the rededication of the Jerusalem Temple in 164 BC.

Future of Jerusalem
Dan 11:31, 41a     And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation... He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown;
The Priesthood during this Maccabees Period mistook the Endtime prophecies of Dan 11:28 onwards will affect them.
They had just taken back Israel from the Greeks and they cannot accept Jerusalem (sanctuary fortress) to fall again and the temple of God to be destroyed again (take away the daily sacrifices).
So the Priesthood corrupted the Hebrew Bible by reducing the book of Daniel to writings (history) to prevent Jews from believing the prophecies in the book of Daniel.

Mat 24:15     “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),
We thank God that while our Lord Jesus confirmed that Daniel was indeed a prophet of God. We need to understand the prophecies in the book of Daniel to fully comprehend Endtime signs and mysteries (whoever reads the book of Daniel, let him understand).

Preserving God's Word - Part 5 (PW89)

        Prelude to World War 3

The Hebrew Language
Daniel was a youth when he was taken into slavery after the fall of Jerusalem in 586 BC. He had to learn Aramaic, the language of his new masters. After the fall of the Babylonian Empire in 539 BC to the Persians, Aramaic continued to be commonly used in the Persian Empire.
Daniel initially wrote the book of Daniel in Hebrew. In his later years, he used Aramaic to continue his book possibly because most of the younger generation of Jews were not able to comprehend Hebrew.
Within half a century or so, many Jews had replaced their mother tongue with Aramaic.
Note many parts of the writings of Ezra were also in Aramaic.
Except for the religious Jews, who memorised the Torah written in Hebrew when young, the rest of the Jews were not able to understand Hebrew.

Canon Books of the Old Testament
It seems that the 39 books of the OT were canonised around the 5th Century BC by Ezra and the knowledgeable priesthood.
The 24 books of the Hebrew Bible are the same as the 39 books of the Protestant Old Testament, only divided and ordered differently: the books of the Minor Prophets in Christian Bibles are twelve different books, but in Hebrew Bibles, one book called "The Twelve". Likewise, Christian Bibles divide the Books of Kingdoms into four books, either 1–2 Samuel and 1–2 Kings or 1–4 Kings: Jewish Bibles divide these into two books. The Jews likewise keep 1–2 Chronicles/Paralipomenon as one book. Ezra and Nehemiah are likewise combined in the Jewish Bible, instead of divided into two books, as per the Catholic and Protestant tradition.

Falsehood of Scribes
Jer 8:8   “How can you say, ‘We are wise, And the law of the Lord is with us’? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood."
The Devil used false scribes to corrupt the Torah and Prophets also sent the false pets to confuse them with false writings resulting in the priests becoming lawless.
God sent His true prophets to admonish, judge and rectify these corruptions. So the many rejects (false and erred scriptures) were to be burned, destroyed or banned.
Jer 7:25   Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have even sent to you all My servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them.

Translation of the Hebrew Bible into Greek
After the Greek in 330 BC conquered the Persian Empire, the Jews once again had to learn and speak Greek, the language of their new masters. By the third century BC, the Jewish community had largely lost the ability to speak Hebrew.
In the Letter of Aristeas to Philocrates, "the laws of the Jews" at the request of Ptolemy II Philadelphus (285–247 BC) were translated into the Greek Septuagint (meaning seventy) by seventy-two Hebrew translators—six from each of the Twelve Tribes of Israel.
For the sake of the Jews who could not understand Hebrew, the complete 20 canonical books of the Hebrew Bible were finally translated into 39 books of the Greek Old Testament called 'The Septuagint'.

De facto Language in 1st-3rd century A.D
The New Testament was written in Koine Greek - the common language of the Eastern Mediterranean then.
This suggests that our Lord Jesus and Jews all spoke Koine Greek which was the de facto language.

Hebrew Spoken on the Cross
Mat 27:46   And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"
When our Lord Jesus cried out in Hebrew at His death, the Jews, who no longer speak Hebrew, mistook Him calling the prophet Elijah to help Him.
Mat 27:47, 49   Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said, "This Man is calling for Elijah!"... The rest said, "Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to save Him."

This Greek translation of the Old Testament, called the Septuagint, was gradually accepted and was even used in many synagogues.

Preserving God's Word - Part 4 (PW88)

        Prelude to World War 3

Ezra 1:2-3    Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. Who is among you of all His people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem.
The faithfulness of his Jewish ministers (Daniel and the others) had convinced the Babylonian and Persian kings that the God of the Jews had instructed the Jews to serve them faithfully as though they were serving God Himself.
King Cyrus sent the Jews to go back to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple of God, so that they will continue to serve them faithfully.
Out of the 42,360 Jews who went back to Israel, 973 were priests besides the thousands of Levites. These priests and Levites are knowledgeable and devout Jews for they have faithfully kept the laws of God during their captivity.
Ezra 2:36, 64    The priests: the sons of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred and seventy-three... The whole assembly together was forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty.

Ezra 6:15-16     Now the temple was finished on the third day of the month of Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius. Then the children of Israel, the priests and the Levites and the rest of the descendants of the captivity, celebrated the dedication of this house of God with joy.
After the completion of the temple of God, King Darius sent Ezra to Jerusalem instructing him to teach and purify every Jews according to the laws of God so that they will become faithful citizens.
He also sent the Israelites to inhibit the nation of Israel and set Ezra the priest and scribe as their leader, knowing that Israel will become a part of the Persian Empire.
With the hearts of Ezra, the priests and the Jews seeking to please God, they will not tolerate anyone breaking the law.
Ezra 7:25-26     And you, Ezra, according to your God-given wisdom, set magistrates and judges who may judge all the people who are in the region beyond the River, all such as know the laws of your God; and teach those who do not know them. Whoever will not observe the law of your God and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily on him, whether it be death, or banishment, or confiscation of goods, or imprisonment.

Canonization of the Old Testament
Ezra 7:10     For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel.
Around the 5th Century BC, the canonisation of the Old Testament was ascribed to the knowledgeable and devout Ezra and his priests who were full of the Spirit of God.

The Old Testaments
The first five books of the Bible (Old Testament) or Torah were written in Hebrew. Torah is commonly referred to as the Law (or the Pentateuch). These 5 books are traditionally ascribed to Moses (1391–1271 BC), the recipient of the original revelation from God on Mount Sinai.
Almost the entire Old Testament was written in Hebrew. But a few chapters in Ezra and Daniel and one verse in Jeremiah were written in Aramaic. This language became very popular in the ancient world and actually displaced many other languages.

Why use Aramaic?
After the fall of Jerusalem and Judah in 586 BC, the majority of the remnant Jews were taken as slaves to Babylon where they had to learn and speak Aramaic the language of their masters.
It did not take long before the majority of the Jews lost their use of the Hebrew language. Daniel had to write the latter part of his book in Aramaic so that the Jews could understand. Similarly, the majority of Ezra's writings were in Aramaic.

Preserving God's Word - Part 3 (PW87)

        Prelude to World War 3

Deu 11:18-19    "Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up."
All Jewish youths were supposed to be educated and knowledgeable in the laws of God for every parent is mandated to teach their children. In fact, Jewish children are supposed to memorise and to understand Moses' laws.
Thank God that with King Josiah having purged the land of idolatry and the Levites  and Priesthood empowered with the books of the Law, the people especially the Jewish youth were taught His words.
Filled with faith, they obeyed God's words and surrendered to their enemies trusting Him to protect them under captivity.
Jer 27:17    Do not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live! Why should this city be laid waste?

Powerful God's Words
Dan 9:2    in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
Knowing that it was God's will for them to serve the Babylonians for seventy years, these Jews had decided to live in peace and serve the Babylonians faithfully as though they were serving God.
God had shown to Daniel and the Israelites the vision that
1. the Babylonians would conquer Jerusalem and burn it to the ground,
2. the Israelites would be taken as captives to Babylon for seventy years,
3. not to listen to false prophets.

and also their missions that
1. they must serve the Babylonians,
2. settle down and bear children,
3. live in peace with all.

With these visions and missions, the Israelites were able to live peacefully in exile while joyfully and faithfully serving the Babylonians.
Whereas the captives from the other nations will be living in sorrows, pains and hatred for the death of their beloved family members and friends, the destruction of their cities and countries and the present sufferings. They would be planning revenge and rebellion.
With the guidance of the word of God (Law), they were faithful to their masters and lived in peace in the land, so they were treated more favourably than those from other nations. The kings trusted them and promoted them to become their ministers and assistants.
Jer 29:6-7    Take wives and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands, so that they may bear sons and daughters -- that you may be increased there, and not diminished. And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace."

Ezra 6:3, 5    In the first year of King Cyrus, King Cyrus issued a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem: “Let the house be rebuilt, the place where they offered sacrifices; and let the foundations of it be firmly laid, its height sixty cubits and its width sixty cubits ... Also let the gold and silver articles of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took from the temple which is in Jerusalem and brought to Babylon, be restored and taken back to the temple which is in Jerusalem, each to its place; and deposit them in the house of God”
King Cyrus sent the Jews back to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple of God along with all the golden utensils.
Note - in the late days, Satan will send the Antichrist to sign a 7 years Peace Treaty with the Jews to allow all Israelites (descendants of Jacob or Israel) to immigrate back to Israel and Jerusalem to help rebuild the Temple of Antichrist (God)  to deceive Christians to worship the Antichrist as God.
Dan 9:27a     Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;

Preserving God's Word - Part 2 (PW86)

        Prelude to World War 3

Manasseh Tried to Destroy Judaism
2 Kings 21:4-6    He (Manasseh) also built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “In Jerusalem I will put My name.” And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord. Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.
Manasseh was so wicked that he converted the temple of God into the worship of idols.
Even the idolatrous Priesthood destroyed all the books of the Law, so that no Jew could keep the Law.
Thank God that before the annihilation of Judah where the Israelites would be condemned to Hades for their idolatry and wickedness, God sent King Josiah to get their repentance.
2 Kings 21:10-13     And the Lord spoke by His servants the prophets, saying, “Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations (he has acted more wickedly than all the Amorites who were before him, and has also made Judah sin with his idols), therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Behold, I am bringing such calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah... I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

Righteous King Josiah
2 Chr 34:1, 3-6     Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem...For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, he began to seek the God of his father David; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the wooden images, the carved images, and the molded images... and made dust of them and scattered it on the graves of those who had sacrificed to them... He also burned the bones of the priests on their altars, and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem.
When Josiah was 16 years old, he sought God. Without the book of the Law, God sent prophets (including Jeremiah) to guide him to remove all the altars of the idols. At the age of 26 having purged the land of idolatry, he commenced to repair the temple.
The prophets must have led him to burn the bones of the abominable priests on their idolatrous altars possibly for  preventing the Jews from keeping His words by destroying all books of the Law.
Note  Do not replace God's word (bible) with your denominational doctrines.
After purging the land and temple, he set out to repair the temple of God.

Book of the Law Found
2 Chr 34:15, 18-19     Then Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the Lord.” And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan... Then Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, “Hilkiah the priest has given me a book.” And Shaphan read it before the king. Thus it happened, when the king heard the words of the Law, that he tore his clothes.
After he heard the Law for the first time, as repentance Josiah tore his clothes for his ancestors had broken the Law. After cleansing the temple, he restored the Ark, but God rejected the defiled temple, which was razed to the ground by the Babylonians.
Since the Priesthood had destroyed all the books of the Law, all those flaws and erred books were destroyed along with all the copies of the Law.
Thank God for His wisdom in preserving His pure words (book of the Law) for the scribes to make copies. The Priesthood once again were able to minister to the Lord in the temple of God according to His words, and the Levites could teach the people His Law.
So when the Israelites were taken into captivity by the Babylonians, each of the Priesthood and scribes had a perfect copy of the Law for himself.
2 Chr 35:3    Then he said to the Levites who taught all Israel, who were holy to the Lord: “Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, built. It shall no longer be a burden on your shoulders. Now serve the Lord your God and His people Israel.

Preserving God's Word - Part 1 (PW85)

         Prelude to World War 3

Deception of Eve
Gen 3:2-3   And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”
When God created Adam and Eve in His image, they only have to obey His words to have eternal life and stay in fellowship with Him.

Keep My Words and Live
Prov 7:1-2   My son, keep my words, and treasure my commands within you. Keep my commands and live, and my law as the apple of your eye.
It is the will of God from the very beginning that men believe and keep His words to be saved and enjoy the abundant life.
To prevent men from being saved, Satan started to corrupt the word of God starting from within the garden of Eden itself and making the truth in His words ineffective .

Deceptions of Eve
Gen 3:4-5    Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
The devil twisted God's command to deceive Eve. With a more logical and beneficial proposal, it changed her attitude of distaste and dislike to that of admiration for the forbidden fruit leading to her downfall.
Gen 3:6   So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

The Old Testaments
The first five books of the Bible (Old Testament) or Torah were written in Hebrew. Torah is commonly referred to as the Law (or the Pentateuch, in Christianity). These 5 books are traditionally ascribed to Moses (1391–1271 BC), the recipient of the original revelation from God on Mount Sinai.

Jer 8:8    “How can you say, ‘We are wise, And the law of the Lord is with us’? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood."
The Devil used false scribes to corrupt His words. The Torah and Prophets were often distorted by the devil to deceive the Jews and the Priesthood. All detected flawed copies were burned, destroyed or banned.
Satan also sent the false prophets to confuse them and even the priests were lawless. Unfortunately, the Jews loved the lies and deceptions, which is similar to today's carnal and unlearned Christians.
Jer 5:30-31    “An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; and My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?”

Prophets sent by God
Jer 7:25    Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have even sent to you all My servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them.
God sent His true prophets to admonish, judge and rectify these corruptions. So the many rejects (false and erred scriptures) were to be burned, destroyed or banned.

Doing God's Work (PW84)

         Prelude to World War 3

Just Believe, That's All
John 6:28-29   Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
Our Lord Jesus told His disciples not to labor for their physical food but for the food that leads to everlasting life.
Brethren, this is the work of God for Christians, that we  believe in :-
1. Jesus was the Word made flesh - He is the Lord God Almighty, our loving Father, our Saviour, Healer, Provider, Refuge, Fortress, etc.
2. When we love Him by keeping His commands - He will give us another Comforter - the Spirit of truth, who will teach and lead us into all truth which will set us free from the wiles of Satan and all bondages.
3. He keeps His Covenant - with His chastisements as refinement, we should be able to judge ourselves of our growth in our walk with Him.
4. His Endtime Prophecies and the 'Start of Last Generation'
Mat 24:32-33    “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!
So when we see Israel (fig tree), while still a young nation (branch tender), shows signs of Unbelief (puts forth leaves) in God  or OT, then we know that the last generation has begun.
Mat 24:34    Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.
https://last-generation-events.blogspot.my/2017/02/the-last-generation-lg02.html?m=1

The Last Generation will witness all the Endtime signs taught by our Lord Jesus.
1. False christs (Seal 1)
Mat 24:4-5    And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many."
Note  Endtime Christians are covetous, carnal, worldly and wicked (2 Tim 3:1-8)

2. World War 3 (Seal 4)
Mat 24:6-8    “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

3. Period of Tribulations (Seal 5)
Mat 24:9    “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake”
This is the period of the tribulations (Mat 24:9-28) or the wrath of Satan, where Christians are refined before Rapture.
Rebuilding of the temple of God (for the Antichrist). Introduction of the mark of the beast 42 months before Rapture.
Mat 24:15    “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),

4. Great Heavenly Blackout before Rapture (Seal 6)
Mat 24:29-30    "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."
Immediately after the tribulations, the whole heaven will be darkened. As the stars draw nearer and nearer, we can then see our Lord coming with angelic hosts to gather His elect at Rapture.

5. Those Left Behind (Seal 7)
After the Rapture, where the elect are taken back to heaven, all those left behind will face the wrath of the Lamb (God).

Note -
Seal 5 is the wrath of Satan, where God protects and leads Christians to overcome Satan's wiles and deceptions.
Seal 7 (after Rapture) is the wrath of God against all those wicked left behind.

Preserving Christianity - Part 4 (PW83)

        Prelude to World War 3

Salvation of Gentiles
Thank God that before the Gospel reached the Gentiles, God had given His doctrine through the Council of Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem confirming that salvation in Christ Jesus is by grace alone. Christians (both Jews and Gentiles) must not keep any part of the Mosaic Law of the Old Covenant, for it has been made obsolete by the New Covenant of the blood of Jesus.

Salvation of Romans
As soon as Christianity was legalized in the Roman Empire and before the Gospel reached the Romans, the Council of Bishops in Nicene produced the Nicene Creed (Apostle Creed), which provides a doctrinal statement of the Christian Faith. Christians were converted according to their faith in the Apostle creed. They were then taught and discipled according to His words in the Holy Bible of canonised books.

How can God ensure that the truth of the Gospel and His words is preached during the greatest harvest of souls during World War 3 at the end of the age?

God will harvest the tares first?
Mat 13:30    Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”
Before the greatest End-time harvest of souls (wheat), God must remove the tares (false prophets, wolves, heretics, covetous and wicked Christian leaders) so that new converts will be taught His truth and His pure words by His faithful servants.

Why are the Tares not removed earlier?
Mat 13:28b-29    The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.'
Killing these popular depraved Christian leaders (tares) will destroy the faith of the unlearned, immature and misled congregations, who have been deceived and blinded to love the world and the pleasures therein. They hate truth but love lies and heresies like the Israelites in the days of Jeremiah just before the annihilation of Jerusalem.
Jer 5:31    The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; And My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?

Casting Tares into the Eternal Fire
Mat 13:41-42    The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
God will use World War 3 (4th Seal) to remove the tares (heretic and wicked Christian leaders) from His church during World War 3.
1 Cor 6:9-10    Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Christian's Faith
1. God is One. He reveals Himself to men as the Triune Godhead or Trinity in - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
2. The Apostle Creed is the Belief of Christian
3. The Holy Bible with 39 OT books and 27 NT books is infallible. The Bible is the sole authority for Christians in faith, doctrine (belief) and practice.
4. Rapture and the Second Coming of Jesus.

Shine Forth as the Sun
Mat 13:43   Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
While the tares are being harvested and thrown into the everlasting fire, God will prepare the faithful disciples to be transformed into the image of our Lord Jesus and shine forth as the sun.
Be Jesus' disciple by keeping His words then He will anoint you to overcome the coming World War 3 in glory.

Preserving Christianity - Part 3 (PW82)

        Prelude to World War 3

Mission of Constantine
The Church generally regarded the definition of doctrine as the responsibility of the bishops; the emperor's role was to enforce doctrine, root out heresy, and uphold ecclesiastical unity.

Council of Bishops
Immediately after legalising Christianity, Constantine must have followed Jesus' instruction by inviting the 1,800 faithful, godly and persecuted bishops from around the empire to form the Council of Bishops. Just like the earlier Council of Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem, the Council of Bishops under the guidance of the Holy Spirit rectified the errors and wrong doctrines of the various sects by producing the official doctrine and providing the basis for a unified Church.

Council of Nicaea 325AD, the first Ecumenical Council (unless the Council of Jerusalem is so classified). The Council of Nicaea is the first major attempt by Christians to define orthodoxy for the whole Church.
The bishops with the guidance of the Holy Spirit produced the Nicene creed. The purpose of a "creed" is to provide a doctrinal statement of correct belief.
The Nicene creed summarises the apostles’ preachings and teachings concerning the gospel of Jesus Christ. With the Nicene Creed in place (similar to Apostle Creed), Arianism, which denies the existence of the Triune Godhead or Trinity, and threatened to destabilise the entire empire, was classified as heresy.
Later Council meetings were held to canonise the various books and to rectify any flaw, dispute and heresy.

OT Canonical Books
Evidence suggests that the OT was canonized around 400 BC. For the sake of the majority of the Jews, who no longer understand Hebrew, Ptolemy II Philadelphus (285–247 BC) sent 72 Jewish scholars to translate the OT into Greek, which was named the 'Septuagint".

NT was written in Greek
The New Testaments were also written in Greek, which was the language used by our Lord Jesus and the other writers.

Canonical Books of the Bible
The Council of Laodicea 363 AD, concluded that only the Old Testament (along with the Apocrypha) and the twenty-seven books of the New Testament were to be read in the churches.

Christianity the Official Religion
In 380 AD, Theodosius I made Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. By then the councils of bishops had produced the following:
1. the Apostles Creed
2. the Septuagint, the Greek version of the OT
3. 27 canon books of the New Testament in original Greek.
Thank God that He has given the Christian creed and His pure word (bible) for Christians to grow in Him..

Translation of Bible
The Bishop of Damascus ordered Jerome to translate the OT and the 27 NT books written in Greek to the Latin Vulgate, so that every Roman can read and understand the Bible.

Most Accurate Bibles
The Eastern Roman Empire (Greek speaking) adopted the original bible in Greek, but the Western Empire (Latin speaking) adopted the Vulgate Bible - the original Latin Bible.

The World Hates God's Chosen
John 15:19     If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
Beware of non Christian's (Jewish, pagan, heretic) false and evil historical records concerning our Lord (false gospels) and His chosen servants (e.g Constantine) for they tend to have the Antichrist's spirit to tarnish their reputations.
Unfortunately, many misled Christians are deceived with the flawed and erred texts, non canon writings, false history and worldly wisdom as truth.

On the advice of the Council, Constantine set aside December 25 for Christians to celebrate the birth of Jesus (Christmas), and Sunday (the Lord's Day in Rev 1:8) for Christians worldwide to worship the Almighty God in unity.

        Prelude to World War 3'

Resisting Wrong Doctrines
Gal 5:4   You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
Before God gave the salvation to the Gentiles, God raised up Apostle Paul, a Pharisee of Pharisees and one who was zealous in pleasing God. Having encountered Jesus personally, saved and taught by Him, he knew that the New Covenant of the blood of Jesus for all mankind has obsoleted the Old Covenant made with the Israelites. As a learned and respected Pharisee, he was able to oppose the mistakes of Jewish disciples, forcing new gentiles converts to be circumcised.

The Council of Jerusalem
Acts 15:24   Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, “You must be circumcised and keep the law” —to whom we gave no such commandment—
The Council of Apostles in Jerusalem guided by the Holy Spirit forbade Christians (both Jews and Gentiles) from keeping any part of the Mosaic Law of the Old Covenant for salvation is by grace alone.
With the right doctrines based on the words and teachings of Jesus established by the Council of Jerusalem, God then gave them big harvests of both Jews and Gentiles.

Call of Constantine
According to the Greek historian Bishop Eusebius, while Constantine was getting ready of a battle he saw the sign of the cross appearing in light over the sun. Then in a dream Christ visits Constantine and gives him a battle strategy that helped him win.

sign of the cross appearing in light over the sun
For God to hand the enemies over to Constantine (Gideon and his 300) was easy, but to win the whole Roman Empire to Christ, he must be led by Jesus, the Sun of righteousness to be the Light of the World.
Mat 5:16    "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

in a dream Christ visits Constantine and gives him a battle strategy that helps him win
Christ must have taught him how to be the light of the world by walking in humility and love in order to win over the trust of the equally powerful Pagan Emperor Licinius of the Eastern Roman Empire and the hearts of the powerful Pagan Roman Senate.

Light to the World
Having defeated the superior forces of his rival Maxentius, he attributed the victory to the God of the Christians.
With humility and love, it took Constantine six months to convince Emperor Licinus and the powerful Pagan Senate to legalize Christianity in the edict of Milan signed in February, 313 AD. Constantine did not impose Christianity upon his subject.

More than an Emperor
The Orthodox Church regards Constantine as Saint Constantine the Great. Constantine built the Church of the Holy Sepulcher at the purported site of Jesus’ tomb, which became the holiest site in Christendom. During his reign, he built many basilicas, repaired churches throughout the empire, relieved clergy of some taxes, supported the Christian church financially and saw that the first day of the week or Sunday (Lord's day in Rev 1:10), was designated as a day of rest for all citizens.
Acts 20:7    Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.

Roman Empire Embraced Christianity
The Pagan Roman Senate saw the light of Jesus in Constantine and it was just a matter of time that they would embrace Christianity. At the death of Constantine in 337 AD, there was already a high percentage of Christians in the Roman Empire.
With the majority of Romans accepting Christianity, Emperor Theodosius in 380 AD, declared Christianity its official religion.

Preserving Christianity - Part 1 (PW80)

        Prelude to World War 3

Salvation of Gentiles
Before the Gentiles were brought into His salvation, Jesus ensured that they were taught the truth from His words without any wrong doctrine nor heresy.

Calling of Paul
Acts 9:15    But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he (Paul) is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel."
God chose Saul (Paul) a Pharisee of Pharisees, who was godly and zealous to please God by imprisoning Christians who were considered as God's enemies.
For three years in Arabia, our Lord Jesus personally through revelations taught Paul. After that Paul met up with Peter, who confirmed that his doctrines were the same as those taught to them by our risen Lord before He went back to heaven.
Gal 1:11-12    But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Old Covenant Made Obsolete
Heb 8:13   In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
At the death of Jesus, the veil of the temple was torn signifying the end of the Old Covenant for God had left the temple of God.

Circumcision Forbidden
Acts 15:1    And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, "Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved."
Paul knew that the New Covenant of the blood of Jesus had made the Old Covenant obsolete, so he refused to have the new Gentile converts circumcised.
The Council of Jerusalem confirmed Paul's doctrine and forbade new converts from keeping the obsolete Old Covenant. The Law was only made with the Israelites and before the New Covenant was established.
Acts 15:28-29    For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality.  If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well.  Farewell.

Gospel of Grace
Luke 24:46-47    Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise  from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
For anyone to become a Christian, he must believe and understand the Gospel of grace or the message of the cross.

Before any Christian is baptised, he must believe and understand the Triune Godhead or Trinity:
1. God the Father was the Creator of heavens and earth
2. God the Son was the Word made flesh. He died on the cross for the propitiation of our sin. On the third day He rose from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father.
3. God the Holy Spirit dwells in every born again Christian. He empowers him with His anointing, gifts, truth and guidance.
So before the Gentiles were harvested into His kingdom, there was a type of Christian Creed which is similar to today's Apostles Creed.
Every Christian was also taught to observe all the commands and words of Jesus from the 4 Gospels and the words taught by our risen Lord during the 40 days after His resurrection and before His Ascension.
Every born again Christian equipped with the Apostles' Creed, Jesus words and the indwelling of Holy Spirit can  mature in Christ and they will be empowered with truth and wisdom to overcome distorted truth, erred scriptures, false gospels, heresies, lies and deceptions of Satan.

Earliest Deceptions of Satan (PW79)

         Prelude to World War 3

Command of Adam and Eve
Gen 3:2-3    And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”
When God created Adam and Eve in His image, they only have to obey His words to have eternal life and stay in fellowship with Him.

Keep My Words and Live
Prov 7:1-2   My son, keep my words, and treasure my commands within you. Keep my commands and live, and my law as the apple of your eye.
It is the will of God from the very beginning that men believe and keep His words to be saved and enjoy abundant life.

Falsehood of Scribes
Jer 8:8    “How can you say, ‘We are wise, And the law of the Lord is with us’? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood."
Later, the Devil used false scribes to corrupt His words.

But God sent His true prophets to admonish, judge and rectify these corruptions, leading to the many rejects (false and erred scriptures) being burned, destroyed or banned. Unfortunately, these rejected erred scriptures are kept as religious relics and later used by depraved and heretic Jews and non Jewish historians (agents of Satan) to corrupt His pure words.

Canonised Books of the Old Testament
It seems that as far back as Erza and Nehemiah, the 39 books of the OT were being canonised.
These are some of the rejected false and demonic Old Testament books.
  Book of Enoch
The Conflict of Adam and Eve with Satan
  The Secrets of Enoch
  The Psalms of Solomon
  The Odes of Solomon
  The Letter of Aristeas
  The Story of Ahikar

Translation of Old Testament
God preserved His pure words by getting the Old Testament written in the fading Hebrew language into Greek for common Jews then no longer understood Hebrew.
The Greek Pharaoh of Egypt Ptolemy II (264-248 BC) commissioned the translation of the Hebrew Old Testament into Greek. The translation was done by 72 Jewish scholars, and is known as the Septuagint, which is Latin for "seventy".
The Septuagint was widely used by Greek-speaking Jews, and also used in synagogues during the days of our Lord Jesus.
In the 3rd Century, the Septuagint along with the Greek New Testament were translated into the Latin Vulgate used in the Catholic Church.
